Winston enjoyed nomming on the end of my popsicle as you can see with the pictures below! :-P Yea he actually bit a hole at the end of it and I didn't know it and when I picked it up, green popsicle went everywhere! THANKS MINMIN! He's such a crazy cat! I love how he talks to me when I walk up to him... and gripes at me when I surprise him! I wish I knew what he was REALLY saying instead of making guesstimates! haha...
Anyhoo... So I only have FOUR more days before I pick up my baby kitty Ruby! These four days are going to DRAAGGGG! I cannot WAIT to get her! UGH! In the meantime, though, I need to kittenproof the house a bit I think! Or at least kittenproof the spare bedroom that she'll be staying in while we're not at home! I'm not sure how I'm going to do this, though, because if I shut off that room while Winston is in the house, then he won't have a litterbox to go to.... HMMMM!! I kinda wanna put a cat door on that door, but then she'd use it too, so I may just let her and Winston stay in there together at first... Though he's gonna wanna murder me after that... Thinking he has to be the babysitter or that I've replaced him! He's got such an attitude! Get over it, Winston, seriously! LOL I can't believe I'm talking to my cat through a blog.. like he can get on here and read it! Gah I'm sad...
SPEAKING of which, my mom gave me part of my birthday present yesterday (the rest is still being ordered) and it was a "Crazy Cat Lady" action figure with like 10 cats surrounding it! LMAO... Oh man it was too funny! The back of it had a "Crazy Cat Lady Quiz" on the back, and if you answered "yes" to any 7 of the questions, then you were INDEED the crazy cat lady! One of those questions even included if you have a website for your cats... HAH! GUILTY!! I don't think I answered "yes" to 7 of those questions though... I'll have to post those at a later date and see for sure, but in the meantime you can see what the figurine looks like ABOVE (Thanks mom!)! I really don't consider myself the "Crazy Cat Lady" though.. I mean YES I LOVE cats, but I don't do ALL the crazy things people do with their cats! Or do I? Haha.. I'll just bask in my denial for now, THXKBAI! :-P
haha that gift is too funny. ;)
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway you can add an extra litter box for Winston somewhere else in the house while you're at work and then maybe move it into that room when you're home? That way you don't have to worry about them fighting while you're gone, but you also won't have to worry about him peeing and pooing on the floor. You could even put a litter box right outside the door of the room he usually goes in. Cuz he'd try going to that room and he'd see it out there.
I've thought about a second litter box, but I just don't want to clean another one! LOL... One's enough and even THAT is one of those self-cleaning ones! Eesh... I'm still trying to figure out what to do! I don't think she and Winston would fight (Winston's not the fighting kind), I just know he'll be mad for being left with the new kid on the block.. LOL if that makes any sense! We'll see how it goes! :D
ReplyDeleteWell, you could do just a regular one outside the door for a bit until you see that they are used to each other and then leave them together in the room until you know she'll be a good kitty. ;) It shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks for them to get used to each other. You can suffer cleaning the stinky litter in a regular box for that long. ;) haha
ReplyDeleteWell.. see.. the only problem with putting it right outside the door of the room Ruby will be in, is that that litter box would be in the hallway! And knowing my dear husband and his child who is eat up with him, they'd both trip over said litter box and poo and pee would go EVERYWHERE! LOL! And I can see me doing that too actually! So yea I'd have to put it somewhere else other than that... Laundry room is too small... Only other place I can think of is the bathroom! Argh I just dunnoooo! *scratches head* All of a sudden my house is shrinking in my head! LOL
ReplyDeleteOO OO!!! I just thought of an idea after I posted that last comment!!! Maybe I can get one of those cheap child gates and put it in the doorway of that room with the door open and Winston will for sure be able to jump over it (he jumps over the fence in our backyard all the time!) and Ruby SHOULD be too little to jump over it! AHA! That may just work!!! :D Yea idea!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd try the gate.
ReplyDeleteWith the litter box in the hall, it would only have to be there while you guys were gone. You could move it into the room when you get home since you'll be there with the kitties.
